Medication when & where you need it
inDispense is an innovative telemedicine system that improves prescription drug access, speed and affordability.
An Integrated Pharmacy Network
One centrally licensed pharmacy operation. Unstaffed dispensing endpoints at as many sites as you need. Providers supervise every dispense remotely over live video. The medication is in the patient’s hand before they leave the building. Our system supports telehealth or in-person prescribing, remote supervision by licensed staff, and a full session audit — video, images, signature — for every dispense.
Direct Dispensing at the Point-of-Care

Prescribe
In person or by telehealth, inside your existing workflow.

Supervise
A provider reviews and approves each dispense on video.

Dispense
Labeled, counseled, and paid for in about 90 seconds.
Prepack Kiosk
Our first deployment-ready machine. It dispenses a range of non-refrigerated medications that arrive prepackaged, including pre-counted pills, inhalers, injectables, and over-the-counter products.
These medications are held in cartridges. A custom gantry takes a package from its cartridge, labels it with the relevant patient information, and dispenses it. Its 45 SKU capacity covers a general practice or a single specialty.
The kiosk accepts payment, supports a private call over the built-in handset, and scans identification. A patient can be holding a purchased or prescribed medication within two minutes.
Restocking takes five minutes, with no tools and no training. We unlock the kiosk remotely; on site, empty cartridges slide out and full ones slide in.
Pill-Counting Kiosk
Where the Prepack Kiosk dispenses sealed packages, this one counts individual pills and bottles them to the quantity of a specific script. Every pill size and shape is dispensable in a variable quantity.
A fill takes as little as ninety seconds. In that window the kiosk uncaps an empty bottle, labels it, fills it with the prescribed medication, caps it, prints the medication information sheet, and dispenses bottle and sheet together.
It handles far greater script variety than the Prepack Kiosk, because each SKU can fill to any quantity. It is a complementary technology to the Prepack Kiosk.
As with the Prepack Kiosk, it accepts payment, supports a private call, and scansidentification.
A pre-production unit is complete. We are moving toward production by 2027.
Automated Retail Pharmacy
The next focus of inDispense’s research and development: a full-scale pharmacy replacement system for an unstaffed site.
It is designed to dispense any medication type, including pills, injectables, and refrigerated medications, and it is deployment specific. A model implementation on our campus is designed to hold up to 3,000 SKUs in a 20 × 40 suite, roughly the footprint of a small mall suite. The core design is modular, so it scales down to a fraction of a pharmacy’s space and SKUs or up to an entire pharmacy equivalent’s volume.
The system scales our existing technology. The singulators, our patented pill counting technology, are identical to those in the Pill-Counting Kiosk. The gantries span nearly the length of the suite, and a transfer gantry couriers filled medications to patient-facing kiosks, which are built into the wall and reinforced to pharmacy standard.
inDispense Cloud
The pharmacist is remote and utilizes a semi-autonomous kiosk network. The pharmacist can cover many sites and easily control the kiosk hardware from a browser. One only needs to focus on patient care during a video call; the kiosk and cloud handle the rest.
Every dispense is provable. Numerous camera angles, an image at each pick, computer-vision verification, barcode checks, and a complete session record queryable by patient or date.
Built for telehealth. The same video and identity rails can serve a remote prescriber, as they can consult, prescribe, and fill in one session.
What It Means For The System
Adherence
First fill captured at the point of care, before the patient has a chance not to pick it up.
Access
Pharmacy coverage at critical access sites without a pharmacist on site.
Continuity
Prescriptions stay inside the system — one record, one formulary, one counseling standard.
Workforce Leverage
Existing pharmacists cover many locations instead of staffing each one.
Where It Deploys
| Site | Gap It Closes | Recommended Unit |
|---|---|---|
| Clinic / FQHC | Dispense at the visit — no second trip | Both Kiosks |
| ED & Inpatient Discharge | Medications in hand before the patient leaves | Singulating Kiosk |
| Critical Access Hospital | Pharmacy hours without pharmacy staffing | Singulating Kiosk |
| Employee Health | A convenience benefit at low marginal cost | Prepack Kiosk |
| Ambulatory Campus | Full retail formulary, 3,000 SKUs, no staff | Retail Pharmacy |
| Urgent Care | High volume, high use meds in hand at discharge | Both Kiosks |
| Integrated Healthcare Campus | Central, comprehensive medication coverage | Retail Pharmacy |
Ten years ago, Passport Health, the country’s largest provider of travel medicine, needed to dispense medication on site in states where nurses could not hand medication directly to patients. Nothing existed to do it, so the team built a makeshift, remotely-operated dispensing unit. Other medical professionals who saw it working asked for one of their own.
That interest identified a market, and the question behind it became the company: why shouldn’t patients pick up medications at their point of care?
Our answer was: they should, using unstaffed hardware, supervised remotely by licensed professionals. Our solution is advantageous for everyone. Concentrating staff at a hub substantially reduces head count versus staffing every site. Patients have access to medication where they want it, i.e. at the point of care, in retail, or through mail order.
